Dies St. Mauritii – Update

Dies St. Mauritii – encampment at the border
September 21-23 – Ad Flumen Caerulum – Austria

The Shire of Ad Flumen Caerulum invites you all to take part in fighting, archery, and games. For the fighters there will be the “Gugelhupf-Tourney”, for the archers an IKAC-shooting is planned. There will also be games at the tavern hall and an indoor space for children to play. As we will have some classrooms too, we search for people who are willing to teach a class. Please contact the Event Steward.

After three years of holding the encampment in Herrnleis we are on the move. Our destination is the Attergau in Upper Austria close to the border to Bavaria. For people from Vienna this means one and a half hours more on the road than before, but for everyone else – and particularly for our guests from Germany – the location is far easier to reach (just a one hour drive from Munich).

Why the move? Better infrastructure!

The location is huge and offers firewood, wood for building, sanitary facilities, refrigeration and picnic tables (for those not in possession of camp furniture), indoor-crashspace (for those without their own camp), a large open-walled hall with a fireplace, lots of space for crafts of all kinds and so on.

Site:
Scout Camp Austria, Eggenberg / Berg im Attergau, no street address, 47°57’14’’ N 13°30’03’’ E.

Site opens: at 15:00 on Friday, and closes at 11.00 on Sunday.

Costs:
Event fee: € 20 for 2 nights / € 15 for 1 night / € 10 for day-guests
Event fee children (0-14 years): € 17.50 for 2 nights / € 12.50 for 1 night / € 7.50 for day-guests
Indoor crash space + € 5 for the weekend (camp cots are provided)
SCA-members discount – € 2.50.

For late arrivals who plan to raise their tents early on Saturday there is no extra indoor overnight-fee from Friday to Saturday as long as space is available.

The event fee includes travellers-stew Friday night at the tavern.
The tavern provides some meals and drinks. The site is discretely wet as it is a scout camp and as long we have to share the camp with others.

Reservations are valid on payment.
